Roads, electrical systems, wastewater management, and much more. There are few elements that are not included in the reconstruction project of Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) in Panama City, Florida, carried out by Lane (Webuild Group) and started in 2022. Founded in 1941, the base is named after Lieutenant Frank B. Tyndall, a prominent aviator during World War I. The base is home to the 325th Fighter Wing and plays a crucial role in training fighter pilots, particularly for the F-22 Raptor.
Tyndall AFB is undergoing a vast modernization program following severe damage from Hurricane Michael in 2018. The planned works will help make the facility more functional and resilient to future extreme weather events.
Commissioned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and identified as "Two-Phase Design and Construction Site Development and Utilities Phase I and II," the PROJECT includes the design and construction of road infrastructures, parking areas, electrical systems, hydraulic and wastewater management systems, stormwater management systems, communication systems, fire protection systems, and related works.
