OCEANA NAS RUNWAY & LIGHTING REPAIRS, VIRGINIA, USA
The renovation of Runway 14L-32R at Oceana Runway is a comprehensive overhaul. This major infrastructure project is located at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. It is a crucial landing strip for U.S. Navy operations, hosting takeoffs and landings of fighter jets and training aircraft.
The existing Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement on Runway 14L-32R is being removed and replaced with new pavement of the same material. Additionally, a portion of the pavement in the Hold Apron area on Runway 14L and the end of the Hold Apron area on Runway 32 is being replaced, implementing new leveling for Runway 32R. Once completed, the central profile of the runway will be raised by 3 to 6 inches.
