Fort Worth Alliance Airport

The Ft. Worth Alliance Airport (AFW) expansion project is an important step in strengthening the facility's role as the world's first industrial airport designed for cargo and business aviation.

Located in the fastest growing industrial complex in the United States, AFW is already a major hub for air cargo, business and military aviation. By extending its two existing runways to 11,000 feet, the airport will be able to accommodate larger aircraft from major global cargo companies, improving the area's connectivity and logistical efficiency.
Developed in three phases, the project included the demolition and earthworks necessary to complete one of the runways and the airfield electrical infrastructure; the creation of the second runway, with further earthworks and the installation of most of the navigational aids; and finally, the extension of the taxiway and the relocation of Eagle Parkway and an airport perimeter road.

With these improvements, AFW will continue to be a hub for international air travel, helping to make the region a key destination for global trade.ndiale.
