COCHABAMBA NEW AIRPORT, BOLIVIA
An airport at almost 2500 meters above sea level. This is the altitude at which the new Cochabamba Airport is located in Bolivia. The construction was structured in two phases. The first phase, between 1988 and 1991, saw the construction of a new runway, 3800 meters long and 45 meters wide, with an additional 15 meters of apron space.
The second phase, between 1995 and 1999, involved the construction of a taxiway 545 meters long, the Air Terminal covering an area of 10,800 square meters, a 30-meter-high control tower, access roads, service roads, and parking spaces for 375 vehicles. The project also included various auxiliary infrastructures, including service buildings and installations for water, sanitation, electrical systems, various lighting, drainage works, etc."
