The Infraflegrea project also includes the design and construction of the works that will complete the doubling of the Cumana railway line, which links Naples to Pozzuoli, on a stretch of about 5 km between Dazio and Cantieri stations.

The Flegrea area, with its breathtaking landscapes, ancient Roman ruins and thermal waters, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Campania. This project will improve the mobility of residents and tourists, while also contributing to the attractiveness of the area in terms of both economic development and tourism. To this end, a new station will be built in Pozzuoli, which is already destined to become an important hub, and the safety systems in the tunnels along the line will be upgraded.
