With such fine air, just ride your bike!

Copenhagen is pressing ahead with its Climate Plan 2035, a strategic effort to further cut the city’s carbon emissions. Mobility is obviously the protagonist, thanks to the strengthening of public transport, but also to the cycle tracks that almost cover over 400 km accross the city. Every day, citizens in Copenhagen reach a total of 1.5 million km cycled with their bikes (37 times Earth's circumference!). The reduction of the energy demand of the city's buildings is very important for the Climate Plan 2035. This is possible through energy efficiency incentives, but also by using heating and cooling systems that make use of sea water.

The Komoot app created a classification of Copenhagen's best bike itinerary. Below there are three of them, which you can choose according to the difficulty of the route.

If you are a novice, choose the Lille Langebro - Bike Bridge - Der Nyhavn, circular itinerary from Fuglebakken. It will take you two hours approximately to complete. For passionate cyclists, we suggest the circular itinerary from Kongens Nytor - Der Nyhavn - Frederiks Kirke (Marmorkirken) and if you are a true pro go for the Blick auf Helsingør - Frederiks Kirke (Marmorkirken) with a circular itinerary from Christianshavn. This last one requires great training and takes almost 7 hours to complete.
