LITTLE RIVER WRF EXPANSION PROJECT, GEORGIA, USA
The Little River Water Reclamation Facility is a critical wastewater treatment facility serving the Mountain Park and surrounding communities in North Fulton and part of Cherokee County, Georgia. Located at the intersection of Rocky Creek and the Little River , the facility is surrounded by a residential area and a golf course, offering a green and manicured environment that highlights its environmental and community importance.
Reclamation Facility expansion project was a critical effort to improve and expand the wastewater treatment plant's capabilities. This project is the first phase of a larger plan to overhaul and optimize the county's water and sewer system. Thanks to this expansion, the moratorium on new sewer connections in the area covered by the plant has been lifted, allowing for further residential and commercial development in the area.
Sustainability was a key element in the modernization of the plant . The upgrade results in a significant increase in the quality of water and sewerage service offered to residents, ensuring that wastewater is treated more efficiently and with less environmental impact. This improvement not only ensures that local communities can benefit from a state-of-the-art water and sewer system, but also helps protect surrounding natural resources, such as the Little River and Rocky Creek.
