SYDNEY METRO - WESTERN SYDNEY AIRPORT LINE, AUSTRALIA
The Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport Metro Line, known as the “Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) Package”, to be carried out with Partnership formula Public-Private (PPP). The project includes the building of six stations, in the section between St. Marys interchange station and Bradfield station, a depot workshop for storage and maintenance of the trains in Orchard Hills, as well as the superstructure, signaling systems, mechanical and electrical systems of the entire line and the supply of new driverless trains.
The project was commissioned by New South Wales and Australian (Federal) governments. It Will be built by Webuild as part of the Parklife Metro Consortium that will carry out the civil works (Siemens also has a stake). Webuild is also part of the project company (with Plenary Group, Siemens Mobility and RATP Dev).
Webuild in a consortium (10% share) will also manage and carry out the maintenance activities of the entire line (23 km) for 15 years after it opens to the public.
