Umm Lafina is an island located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, which is becoming a center of significant urban development. The project involves the construction of a 5 km long road connection between two islands of the city, Umm Lafina and Al Reem. The project, completed in 2020, crosses a mangrove reserve where twice the number of mangroves lost during the construction were replanted..
