TARSUS - ADANA - GAZIANTEP MOTORWAY, TURKEY
The Tarsus - Adana - Gaziantep (TAG) Motorway represents one of Turkey's largest infrastructure projects. The construction of this 258 km motorway, with an additional 42.4 km of connectors, was designed to significantly improve the country's transportation network. Located in the southern part of Anatolia, the TAG Motorway is a crucial segment of the "Trans-European Motorways."
The project included design, construction, and maintenance and was executed with advanced technologies, adhering to the most stringent international standards. This motorway crosses the Nur and Amanos mountain ranges, which are among the most complex geological formations in the country, making its construction a true engineering feat.
The TAG Motorway connects Middle Eastern countries to the vast agricultural and industrial plains of the cities of Urfa and Harran in Southeastern Anatolia. Additionally, it facilitates access to the ports of Mersin, Iskenderun, and the "Toros-Adana-Yumurtalik Free Zone," thus enhancing trade and logistics in the region. This corridor is essential for the transport of goods between industrial and agricultural regions and international markets, strengthening the Turkish economy and its integration into global trade networks.
In summary, the TAG Motorway is not just a transportation infrastructure but also a driver of economic development and regional connectivity, highlighting Turkey's strategic role as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East.
