KIEV - CHOP - CAPITAL REPAIR OF M06 LOT 1 – LOT 2, UKRAINE
A project committed to environmental sustainability. This describes the reconstruction of the road connecting the city of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, to Chop, near the Hungarian border. The project, called Capital Repair of M06 Lot 1 – Lot 2, involves approximately 114 km of road, currently consisting of two lanes in each direction, with a total width of 15 meters.
To complete the work with minimal environmental impact, it was decided to install a road pavement using the innovative cold recycling technique. This method has multiple benefits, including reducing the need for raw materials, saving energy, and producing less waste for disposal in landfills.
The work includes widening the sub-base, completely replacing the road pavement, milling the existing pavement, reconstructing bridges, drainage works, road furniture, signage, construction of new bus stops, noise barriers, and lighting.
