Buenos Aires "North Access" Highways, Argentina

BUENOS AIRES "NORTH ACCESS" HIGHWAYS, ARGENTINA
A highway that opens the doors of the capital to all of Argentina. The "Autopista Acceso Norte" in Buenos Aires, Argentina, represents a fundamental infrastructure to ensure access to the capital from the northern suburbs and from the national road leading to the border with Bolivia. The route of the Autopista Acceso Norte extends for about 120 km and its main purpose is to ease the flow of vehicles entering the city from the national roads and northern suburbs, as well as to facilitate the exodus from the city on weekends.
Among the main works carried out during the first phase were: the widening to three lanes in each direction of Avenida General Paz, with the installation of new signage; the construction of the section between Avenida General Paz and Avenida Márquez of the Panamericana; and the widening to five lanes of the Panamericana up to the Buenos Aires road.
The second phase of the works mainly involved further widening Avenida General Paz in the section between Acceso Norte and Lugones, as well as the new La Noria bridge.
