El Niño
El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is a phenomenon caused by the interaction between the surface layers of the Pacific Ocean and the atmosphere. Every five years or so, it triggers rainfall leading to floods and a radical change in wind circulation that causes droughts in some areas.
NASA has reconstructed the El Niño model in 3D.
In the video, the red ones that you will see, are the hottest regions and the blue ones, the coldest.
