BASARAB OVERPASS, ROMANIA
The Basarab Overpass (Romanian: Pasajul Basarab) is a road overpass located in Bucharest, which connects Nicolae Titulescu Boulevard with Grozăvești Street, forming part of the inner ring road of the city.
Designed by engineer Javier Manterola, this infrastructure was officially inaugurated on 17 June 2011 and opened to traffic on 19 June of the same year. The project was completed in August 2011, when ramps and lifts for the tram stations were installed.
The bridge hosts tram line 1, Bucharest's only circular line that follows the city's inner ring road.
